GRG Bail Bonds

Someone Has Been Arrested?

Nobody is ever prepared for that dreaded phone call. It could come at some stage during the day, or even in the middle of the night. A loved one, or very close friend has been arrested, and is begging for your help. Naturally you want to help them, but how? What do you do? Who do you call? How does this process start? The first thing to do is locate a good bail bonds Garden Grove firm.

Once you've gotten over the initial shock of getting the phone call, it is important to try to remain as level headed, and as calm as possible. This person is relying on you for help, and the only way you're going to be able to do that effectively, is to be able to think with a clear head. The first thing to do is gather vital information that will be needed when calling the bail bonds company.

Information To Gather:
  • Defendant's full legal name
  • The place they are being held in custody
  • What they have been charged with
  • Inquire as to whether they have any cash or collateral for the bail bond fee
These points will be necessary for GRG Bail Bonds to start the release process faster. By knowing this information, they will be able to ascertain how much the bail will be, which will then indicate what fee you will need to pay, and how to arrange it. The sooner this can be done, the sooner they can post bail on behalf of the defendant and have them released.

Bail Bonds fees are always 10% of the total amount of bail. This is non-refundable, and non-negotiable. The amount a bail bonds company charges, is mandated by the California Department of Insurance. Some companies such as GRG Bail Bonds will however, negotiate a workable payment plan for qualifying clients.

Once the paperwork has been completed, and the fee paid, or a payment plan worked out, GRG Bail Bonds will post bail on behalf of the defendant. The defendant will then be free to return home so they can continue on with their employment, looking after their family, and also getting their defense sorted out. They must understand at this point that there are certain conditions they must adhere to in order to remain out on bail.

If you have co-signed on behalf of the defendant, you will also become responsible for ensuring that they keep all their scheduled court dates, and any other conditions associated with their bail bond. If the defendant skips out on their bail, their bail will be revoked, a warrant issued for their arrest, and the bail bonds company will then take steps to apprehend them. All costs associated with this will fall on the defendant, and/or their co-signer.

This is the basic information that you will need to know when a family member, or close friend you want to help has been arrested.
